Taxis are nowadays the most efficient mean of public transportation from and to Riyadh Airport.

A trip from King Khalid Airport to downtown Riyadh takes 30 minutes.

The trip to your final destination must be paid in advance. You’ll find taxi desks along the airport terminals to formalize your trip.

Prior boarding any taxi, please make sure that the one you are going to jump in is an official and authorised taxi. To identify them, the airport logo must be marked in the vehicle. Official taxis come with taximeter and metered with flat rates.

In case the vehicle hasn’t taximeter, we recommend you to try to know how much is it to go to your destination and make an agreement with the taxi driver or board another one.

It is recommended to have written down the address of your hotel in English and Arabic.



The flat rate to get to downtown from the airport is estimated to be around SAR 70.00, refuse trips which overpass this figure.

Lone female travellers

Although women are not allowed to travel alone with non-relative male, taxis are the exception.
